The meeting started at 9:38 AM.
The deadline for new club members to count for the TOC is May 1st.
John announced that Fig Rig Rods became a new sponsor for the federation. In addition, Pro-Tour Baits is also a sponsor, providing soft plastics for the federation. Aqua Innovations oxygenators are also available through the federation. Sheets were circulated that could be used to order and of those products. Jay Green can be contacted for federation prices for Lowrance products. Battery discounts discussed at the previous meeting are still available.
Pat confirmed that he will handle the paperwork for Steve O, our new member. He will hold the state paperwork until just before the deadline in order to include any more new members.
Pat C. discussed his proposed point system for trial this year. The following is a list of the points awarded:

Attendance at the following events is awarded 25 points:
Wearing a club shirt at any of the following event award 5 points:
Points will be tracked for the year, and a prize will be awarded at the end of the year for the holder of the most points. The point system will not impact TOC qualifications.
The creel survey is now accessible via the tournament standings page on the club website. You are encouraged to log your catches there.
John addressed federation business. He distributed a survey for the federation to all members. The data collected will help the federation secure sponsors in the future. He also announced there will be a get together of all TOC participants at Stubbs Marine on Thursday the week of the tournament. The results of the recent votes were as follows: the 2006 TOC will be in Gull Lake (and thus our final club tournament). The bylaw changes were voted in, as was the associate membership proposal.
The garage sale is now confirmed to be May 6th and 7th. Items were accepted to be taken to the sale. A list was circulated for volunteers to “work” the sale.
A new phone list was provided to all present. There was a final reminder that John needs to have an insurance declaration from all boaters before the first tournament.
This year there will be an optional “big bass pot” at each tournament. Anyone can opt to participate, but the $5.00 entry must be paid before take-off. Pat Porter will collect the entries.
