The Banquet was discussed and all seemed in order for Feb. 25th, 2006 at the Little Oven. Pat C has acquired most of the door prizes. Mike J is getting plaques made for the top 7 anglers and 2 big bass awards because of a tie.

The fund raiser continues till the 12th of Feb. when stuff needs to be to Guy. Get you orders to him by then. We then discussed an option of paying 50 dollars to the club and not selling the 10 items. A vote was taken and passed to be able to give the club 50 bucks.

John then gave the Fed Report. Main topic of conversation is the ongoing B.A.S.S./FLW situation. Kind of explained the how we got to where we are and what’s going to happen next. Explained that we should see the 2 proposals at the next Fed meeting and then we as a club can review them at the March meeting. 2006 TOC headquarters is Ernie’s on Gull Lake. The Alternates Tournament will be on Lake Alexander. There is a proposal for the 2007 TOC by Classic 7 for Leech Lake. Fig Rig Rods is continuing to sponsor the Fed. Rods can be purchased at 50% off. They will be at the next 2 Fed meeting with Rods for purchase. Fed was looking for people to man the MN Bass booth at the Sports Show March 28-Apr 2. Contact Steph Peterson at the Fed website to sign up. Free Admission. Not enough clubs turned in the vote on the proposed dead fish penalty. They will take them at the March meeting. Next Fed meeting is March 4th at the Medina Ballroom.

Club Tournament dates and locations are now set. Steve is starting to pull permits. The club discussed options with the Koronis Lake Tournament. Options were to leave it on Koronis and go out of Meeker County ramp, Nest Lake or Norway Lake. A vote was taken and Nest was the unanimous choice.

A brief discussion on the Family picnic after weigh-in at Medicine Lake was held. We would like to find a couple people to help coordinate the food. Should we also look into a shelter? We will discuss more at Feb meeting.

Mike J has offered to have the garage sale at his house again. He has stuff left over from last year and what ever anyone has this year. We usually make enough to pay for the plaques at the banquet. If we want to do the sale start bringing the stuff to the next few meetings and Mike will take it home. We would also have to have more club help at the sale.

John talked about a deal he is working on with Outkast Tackle. They would like to have one of their Pro Staff members come out to a meeting and show their product. They are offering discounts and are going to supply some door prizes for our banquet. We will put them on our web site and see what else we can do for them. Check out their web site at:

www.outkasttackle.com

Dave Corey decided to join the club and paid his dues. Joe was leaning toward joining will be in contact with Tony C. Tony got the 25 bonus pts toward SOY. If Joe joins he will get 25 more.

We will have a short meeting Feb 25th at the banquet.

The next club meeting will be March 18th at Capera’s at 9:30
