Golden Hook Bassers Meeting Minutes

Members in attendance were:

Dave McCrone attended as a potential renewing member. In addition, Ross Taylor and Scott Johnson from Outkast Tackle were in attendance.

The meeting started at 9:30 AM.

John reported on the recent Federation meeting. The Federation has decided to stay with BASS as opposed to the TBF/FLW. Any member wishing to get a refund of state dues can do so for a limited time. John placed a Fig Rig rod order for the club, and there are more forms available from him. The Federation will be placing another Sterns order, so if you want to get something discounted, you should email Jay Green the details by the April Federation meeting. The Federation is still looking for helpers to man the booth at the sports show. Shifts are 4 hours. There are three proposals for the 2007 TOC venu: Leech Lake, The Mississippi River, pools 4 & 5, and the Horseshoe Chain. The club voted for Leech Lake, and that decision will be taken to the next Federation meeting.

Steve O. and Tony are currently leading the SOY points race. The website has not been updated to reflect the current totals, however. Pat Porter had the largest Simek’s order, so he is awarded the SOY points for that.

The new total from the fundraiser is $1000 if all money is collected. That includes $50.00 from people who opted to pay rather than sell items.

Everyone was reminded that the Washington/Stella tournament was swapped with the Medicine Lake tournament and pot luck. That means that Medicine Lake tourney and pot luck will be on June 10^th, and the Washington/Stella tourney will be June 24^th. In addition, the Green and Ness will be the out-of-town tourney, switched from Green and Koronis.

Pat will take care of updating our club roster with BASS.

The Outkast representatives provided information about their lines of jigs and soft plastics. As a sponsor to the club, we can order merchandise at a discount. The club will try to have an order put together within the week.

The next meeting will be held on April 29^th at Capra’s. At that time we will sign the rules sheets and draw partners.
