Golden Hook Bassers Meeting Minutes

 

Meeting Date: Oct. 27th 2007

Meeting Place: Capras

Meeting Time: 9:30

 

In attendance were the following club members: John P, Pat P, Pat C, Dave M, A.J. M, Nick M

 

Club dues are due at the Nov meeting.

 

Pat passed around a club roster to make changes in address, phone numbers or email.

 

The floor was then opened for nominations for club officers. All seats are up.

 

Pat C was nominated for President

Steve O was nominated for Tournament Director

John P was nominated for VP/Fed rep.

 

Nominations will be open at the Nov meeting before voting.

It was also discussed that the Youth and Conservation directors need to try and have at least 1 event a year. It may become required in order to fish the TOC.

Nick also volunteered to become the Club Photographer.

 

The floor was then opened for 2008 tournament lakes:

Nominations will be held open till the Nov. meeting before voting.

 

The 2007 banquet was discussed. Everyone was happy with Manzetti’s.

Chris A volunteered to set up the 2008 banquet at the same place.

 

Fed Report was given by John. Some highlights were.

Don Corkran from BASS will be at the Dec 1st Fed meeting at the Medina. He will be there to give the state of the national federation and to answer any question. There will be a Fed. member drive this spring with a Tournament on a metro lake pairing a member with a interested non member. More details will be available after the Dec fed meeting.

 

Pat C has reserved 4 rooms in Wabasha for the 2008 TOC. The rooms are at the Wabasha Motel. It is located near the access downtown.

 

The final standings were discussed. Top 6 were Pat C, Dave M, Tony, Wayne, Nick and John.

 

Nick had Big Bass of the year. Pat C was Sportsman of the year and Angler of the year.

We as a Club Avg. 133 pounds per Tournament.

 

Looking for suggestions on rewards for winning Sportsman of the Year.

A few that were brought up were First out at every tournament or fishing alone all year.

Will be an open item at the Nov meeting.

 

John passed out the new price list from Outkast.

Nick had a deal on some VooDoo plastics.

 

John will set a presentation for one of the winter meetings with Midwest rod and reel. They make custom rods. They will come out and talk about rod building and the rod market. They would also offer discounts on the rods as well. Very nice rods.

 

Next meeting: Nov. 17th at 9:30 at Capras. It is very important that everyone shows up at this meeting. We have a lot of stuff to vote on.
